Rochelle graduated from Friends University in Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services / Psychology. Rochelle moved to the Houston,Texas area ten years ago and considers this her home. A mother of four children, three of whom are teens, she has keen insight into the complexities of marital and familial developmental changes. A Christian, she has been a volunteer youth leader in her church for over ten years, is a retreat speaker and teaches adult classes on a variety of spiritual topics. She taught piano lessons to children and adults for twelve years and is a part-time substitute school teacher that is “highly qualified” to teach K-12 special education and English and Language Arts classes. Rochelle worked briefly as a psychological test proctor, administering the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, the Wide-Range Achievement Test, the Wide-Range Intelligence Test, the Personality Inventory Assessment and the Woodcock-Johnson tests. In this position, she screened individuals for learning disabilities, mental illness (as defined by the DSM), aptitude and intelligence.
Rochelle believes that it is an honor and a privilege to share another’s journey through life. Everyone faces unexpected challenges and unanticipated circumstances. Therapy helps individuals, couples and families navigate through those difficulties that arise along the way.
