Iris Chang is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who earned 2 Masters' degrees from Cambridge College,Cambridge MA. One as Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology with a dual degree in Licensed Marital & Family Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. She published her Masters' Thesis on “Personality Traits Leading to Relationship Satisfaction.” Her second degree was Masters in Business Management, with a Certificate of Negotiation & Conflict Resolution. She also published her Masters' Thesis on “How to implement EAP in Taiwan High Tech Industry.”

Iris has years of professional experience before joining Family Enrichment Clinic in 2011. She is a current member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (TAMFT), and Houston Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (HAMFT).

As a native of Taiwan, who came to the United States as an adolescent in 1991, Iris has the ability to conduct therapy fluently in the Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese, and English. Her cultural background, experiences, and professional training assist her in understanding and becoming effective in working through issues of performance anxiety, aging, communication, societal acceptance, parenting, marital, relationship, acculturation, identity, generation values/conflicts, social status, immigration and international marriages. Iris is interested in working with clients of diverse ethnicity, ages, genders, backgrounds, and situations. She had extensive experience working with families members with disabilities or with special needs, at-risk adolescents, and college students. Her therapeutic practices are solution focused, narrative, integrated, cognitive-behavioral, collaborative, client-centered, goal and emotionally-focused, with a family systems and structure therapy basis.

Iris, having been a full-time worker, graduate student and a mother, chose a career change from Engineering to Business and to Behavioral Science. She is empathetic with life/work balance issues, such as stress/time management, and career transition/ satisfaction. Iris has the core goal of empowering individuals, couples and families to make healthy, positive changes in their professional and personal lives.
