Cynthia Quiñones, MA, LMFT-A
Cynthia Quiñones is a Marriage and Family Therapist, who has
practiced individual, couple and family therapy services in
Texas since 2004. She is also an active member of the American
Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), one of the
largest international professional organizations for marriage
and family therapists.
Cynthia has extensive experience in working with individuals
who are deaf, late-deafened, hard-of-hearing, and regularly
practices sensitivities to cultural differences. She
understands that the experience of hearing loss varies among
each individual, and the complexities and uniqueness of each
family. In addition, Cynthia has years of experience working as
a vocational rehabilitation counselor, which focuses on helping
individuals with disabilities reintegrate their everyday life
and work. As a result, she has first-hand knowledge in working
directly with individuals who experience grief because of the
onset of their disability. Cynthia has the ability to
communicate fluently in American and English Sign Language, so
individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing may also benefit
from therapy services. She also has worked with diverse
populations of all ages, socioeconomic status, and ethnicities.
Her goal is to help individuals and families make positive
changes in their personal and professional lives.
